History
In 1961 the construction of the typical Pakruojis culture center has started. It was opened in 1963. Aldona Masėnienė and Danguolė Matulytė started working in the new culture center. They led dance groups, Regina Kaukėnienė organized a men's choir, and Z. Atkočiūnas a variety ensemble. Laima Kubilienė directed events, led a drama group for adults in 1999-2000. Pakruojis culture center building underwent major renovations. The 40th anniversary of the culture center was celebrated in the original building.
Us today
Since 2020, the Pakruojis culture Center has been managed by director Arina Janeliūnienė. The culture center has 8 departments: Balsiai department, Klovainiai department (head Sonata Liukpetrienė), Lygumai department (organizer of cultural events Sigitas Kivilis), Medikoniai department (organizer of cultural events Inga Tribulienė), Pamūšis department (head Regina Šopienė), Plaučiškiai department (cultural events organizer Angelė Kurauskienė), Rozalimas department (head Žygymantas Macevičius), Žvirbloniai department.
Actively growing with the community, the center is constantly full of cultural leisure and professional art.

Pakruojis culture center is an organization that provides multifaceted cultural services, enabling the public to participate in cultural events, and for every Pakruojis resident to engage in self- expression. The institution's mission is to foster ethnoculture, represent the activities of art lovers' groups, satisfy the cultural and self-expression needs of the residents of the Pakruojis region, educate the public, providing opportunities to get to know the professional culture of the country and abroad.
The culture center is a multifunctional cultural center by nature of activity.
